Site Development: Terrace at West University, Houston, TX Brown & Gay Engineers, Inc. provided engineering and surveying for the redevelopment of this site into an Independent Senior Living Community located at Buffalo Speedway and Westpark. The project has 337 units that overlook six different courtyard designs. This 12-acre site was originally developed with apartment homes and three public streets. The project required demolition of the existing development and abandonment of the public streets, which added an additional 2.5 acres to the site after abandonment. The street abandonment involved coordination between the client, adjacent property owners, the City of Houston Public Works department, and private utility companies.
