: University Boulevard, Sugar Land, TX


Preliminary design, final design and PS&E preparation for 1.8 miles of a new location four-lane boulevard in Fort Bend County from US 59 to Commonwealth Boulevard were prepared according to TxDOT standards and specifications for the City of Sugar Land. Plans were reviewed and approved by TxDOT and the City of Sugar Land prior to letting for construction. This $8.1 million project included concrete paving, grading, storm sewers, a detention pond, utility relocations, traffic signals, bridge design, wetlands mitigation, hydraulic impact analysis and mitigation plan for a major drainage channel (Ditch H), scour analysis for twin bridges across Ditch H and a mitigation plan for fill in the Brazos River floodplain.
