Upper Oyster Creek & Ditch Study, Sugar Land, TX

Brown & Gay Engineers, Inc., developed a plan of improvements for Oyster Creek and Ditch H. This plan addressed existing flooding conditions through the City of Sugar Land as well as a plan for future conditions, as development continues on the Oyster Creek watershed upstream of Sugar Land. The plan calls for major improvements to Ditch H from the Brazos River upstream to the Ditch A outfall from LID 2, the extension Ditch H across US 90A to Oyster Creek, and improvements to the Brooks Lake Diversion. The project involved updating the Existing Conditions FEMA FIS model for Middle Oyster Creek and acquiring LIDAR suitable for 1-foot contours.
