Public Works Engineering: Upper Oyster Creek & Ditch Study, Sugar Land, TX


Brown & Gay Engineers, Inc., addressed flood conditions in the City of Sugar Land by developing a plan of current and future improvements for Oyster Creek and Ditch H.

The plan calls for major improvements to Ditch H from the Brazos River upstream to the Ditch A outfall from LID 2, the extension Ditch H across US 90A to Oyster Creek, and improvements to the Brooks Lake Diversion. The project involved updating the Existing Conditions FEMA FIS model for Middle Oyster Creek and acquiring LIDAR suitable for 1-foot contours.
